TIMvision (formerly known as Cubovision) is an on demand and LiveTV service operating in the online distribution of films, television series and other entertainment programs.
By 2018, TIMvision offers over 10,000 streaming content and live channels.
CVE has been TIM’s technological partner in the design / implementation and 24-hour assistance of the technological infrastructure behind the video delivery solutions that TIM has proposed over the years. Initially, ALICE IPTV was the first video delivery system designed by CVE for TIM, which in the last few years has evolved into the new and current system, in fact the OTT (Over The Top) Head End is the result of years of close collaboration between CVE and TIM.
The plant boasts the best compression / packaging / origin and storage technologies, with AVC / HEVC compression capability and HLS / DASH / HSS packaging, and different solutions for signal transport as well as audio / video processing and analysis .
CVE is at the side of TIM for the constant upgrade and implementation of the most recent solutions aimed at improving and enhancing the service, in order to provide the end user with a best in class service.

CVE thanks to its know-how, result of 35 years of experience, is able to provide the best technologies for the transport and analysis of video signals of any nature.
CVE boasts the contribution in collaboration with Fastweb and Sky of the contribution from all the main stadiums in Italy to Sky, as well as to EITOWERS, and has also made several contributions to TIM for TIMVision from the major suppliers of Italian content.
To implement these live contribution solutions, CVE has used various different technologies (MPEG, AVC, JPEG2000, TSoIP etc) that have applied each time to different connectivity modes (IP MPLS network, dark fiber, SDH etc)
