CVE, Communication Video Engineering, becomes EVS Partner for Italy

Another important announcement for the media industry comes from IBC 2026 in Amsterdam: as of September 2026, CVE (Communication Video Engineering) becomes EVS partner for Italy.

The agreement covers system sales and integration, enabling CVE to offer the full portfolio of solutions from the Belgian company to the Italian market.]

This partnership expands the collaboration between two organizations that have been active in the professional media production and infrastructure industry for decades.

The agreement enables CVE to provide its customers not only with the EVS solutions traditionally associated with live production and replay, but with the company’s entire technology ecosystem: from production and replay servers to content management platforms, workflow orchestration, IP and SMPTE ST 2110 infrastructures, and dedicated robotics solutions for media production, both indoor and outdoor.

EVS has extensive experience in live video production, and its technologies have been used in some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, as well as major television and live entertainment productions, including the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cups.]

Today, however, the EVS portfolio reflects an evolution beyond the company’s traditional replay heritage. EVS now structures its offering around solutions that support the entire production chain, combining live production, media asset management, infrastructure, control, and orchestration, while also addressing emerging digital media markets.

Among its flagship solutions are XT-VIA for live production, LSM-VIA for replay and highlights, Cerebrum for workflow control and orchestration, Neuron for signal processing and management in SDI and IP environments, and VIA MAP for media asset management and related workflows.

In the robotics segment, EVS has also developed a dedicated offering through Choreon and the T-Motion ecosystem.

According to Giovanni Baldini, Sales Manager at EVS, the agreement with CVE represents an important milestone for the company’s presence in the Italian market:

“CVE has a deep understanding of the Italian market and possesses the expertise required to deliver projects that demand not only individual products but a comprehensive production architecture vision. The availability of the entire EVS portfolio through CVE allows us to extend this approach to a broader range of applications, stakeholders, and markets.”

Reliability has always been one of the core pillars of the EVS value proposition. The experience gained through decades of live production is now being applied across a wider range of workflows and infrastructures, including IP and hybrid environments.

The MediaInfra solution, which includes Cerebrum, Neuron, and Synapse, is specifically designed for real-time control, monitoring, conversion, and processing within SDI, IP, and hybrid infrastructures.

For CVE, the agreement represents an opportunity to expand its design and integration capabilities with a complete technology portfolio while maintaining a solution-oriented approach focused on customer infrastructure integration.

Luca Catalano, CEO of CVE, commented:

“The agreement with EVS significantly strengthens our ability to deliver complex projects, from live production to IP infrastructure, from content management to orchestration. The value of this partnership lies not only in access to the full EVS portfolio, but also in the ability to integrate these technologies into complete architectures that are tailored to our customers’ operational requirements.”

The collaboration therefore encompasses both the commercial and system integration aspects of the business. Certain Italian customers that have historically been managed directly by EVS remain outside the scope of the agreement and will continue to be supported directly by EVS.

With a global presence of more than 800 employees and commercial operations, training, and technical support in over 100 countries, EVS continues to develop its portfolio around the evolving needs of live production while steadily expanding into new media and digital workflows.
